Austin Walkin' Cane

 Cleveland bluesman Austin Walkin' Cane played a studio session for "Applause Performances" and "Shuffle," Ideastream Public Media's local music podcast. Walkin' Cane has performed in Northeast Ohio since the early '90s and now tours the world. He recorded his latest album in famed Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and shared some songs and stories with host Amanda Rabinowitz.

"De afgelopen vijftien jaar hebben we bloed, zweet, tranen, lied, leed, highs, lows en heel veel liefde met elkaar gedeeld", schrijven de muzikanten op Instagram. Het programma van de zesde editie van ROOTZZ op 28 oktober in Mezz in Breda is bekend. Met de gerenommeerde Belgische rootsrockband The Seatsniffers, Jerry Leger & The Situation als veelzijdige singer-songwriter met rockband uit Canada, folkblues van de Zweed Svante Sjöblom, de qua inspiratie eveneens uit de vooroorlogse rootsmuziekgenres puttende Them Dirty Dimes uit Groningen en de Amerikaanse melancholische indiefolkartiest Shadwick Wilde kent het festival een gevarieerde, internationale line-up. De presentatie is in handen van Maarten van Hooft.
