Pete Feenstra the lyricist really got to the point where he showed us what is love supposed to be like. Boris gave the song through its arrangement, an out of earth dimension. A brilliant brass section accompanied with stunning backing vocals, along with singing guitars and full and vibrant’ Voodoo Ramble rumble made this song a winner for the listeners.
Home Again was mixed and produced by Dragutin Smokrovic-Smokva (aka The Fig).
"HOME AGAIN" is the third album for Croatian blues rockers VOODOO RAMBLE. The band has come a long way since the Blues Challenges in Memphis, USA (2014) and Tuscany, Italy in 2016. The sound is tighter, the songs are more mature, and they benefit from broader arrangements and production.
Boris Zamba has also grown as an established songwriter. Every new album is a challenge for the songwriter, particularly in terms of musical direction and subject matter, while always trying to avoid recycling ideas and cliche. 'Home Again' rises to the challenge by extending the band's legacy and broadening the sound of the first two albums. Pete Feenstra again is the lyricist on some songs, and he again pulls out the best from Boris Zamba's song writing, giving him a different perspective and guidance. This can be heard in the songs "WATERFALL", "THE SMELL OF MONEY", and "LESSON I'LL NEVER FORGET".
Home Again has 12 songs and aside from the above 3 songs comprises "BABY I'VE BEEN LOVING YOU", "HOME", "BYE, BYE, BABY","I FOUND THE BLUES", "STREET LIVIN", "GOIN WILD", "LIKE AN AEROPLANE", "LOVE", and "LITTLE BLUES QUEEN".
Some of the songs were "in the drawer" for some time but found a perfect match with the new songs. The album also features many additional musicians, who provide contrast and different sounds to give the album both diversity and powerful dynamics.
Ray Smith from the USA, says the album has ‘wall to wall hits’,
which surely listeners and critics alike will concur with!
Editor’s Notes:
Zamba who has been described by Get Ready to Rock Radio as “mixing an authentic feel for the blues with the ability to craft a song”, has already gained critical praise for his live performances and Voodoo Ramble recordings.
