Black Stone is de nieuwe June Sixteen single/video. De song is een  ongepolijste bluesrock tune met een vleugje bluegrass en country vibes. De gruizige doorleefde stem, die het verhaal vertelt over een voortdurende verslaving, is van Lefty Zennings. Eerder werkte June Sixteen al samen met deze zanger voor het nummer “No Mercy” uit 2023.

Naast Lefty zijn Within Temptation drummer Mike Coolen en gitarist Daan Janzing te horen op de nieuwe June Sixteen track. June Sixteen is in 2020 begonnen als het muziekproject van het liefdeskoppel Angelique Piovillico & Patrick de Kok. Ze schrijven de songs en nodigen steeds weer andere muzikanten uit om mee te creëren. Niet alleen de muzikanten variëren per song maar ook de muziekstijlen.Van Americana, Blues,rock,indiepop tot countryvibes. 
In 2023 verscheen het succesvolle debuutalbum "Traveling Colors".

 BLACK STONE 

Black Stone is the new June Sixteen single/video. The song is an unpolished blues rock tune with a touch of bluegrass and country vibes. The gritty, weathered voice telling the story of a lifelong addiction belongs to Lefty Zennings. June Sixteen previously collaborated with this singer on the 2023 song “No Mercy.”

In addition to Lefty, Within Temptation drummer Mike Coolen and guitarist Daan Janzing can be heard on the new June Sixteen track. June Sixteen started in 2020 as the music project of the couple Angelique Piovillico & Patrick de Kok. They write the songs and invite different musicians to collaborate. Not only do the musicians vary per song, but so do the music styles, ranging from Americana, blues, rock, indie pop to country vibes. In 2023, the successful debut album “Traveling Colors” was released.
