Dat heeft zijn management dinsdag laten weten aan Duitse media. Farian begon zijn carrière als zanger, maar scoorde zijn grootste successen als producent van andere artiesten. Het eerste grote succes van de Duitser was Boney M. in de jaren zeventig.
