RHYTHM & BLUES NIGHT 2024

EERSTE NAMEN RHYTHM & BLUES NIGHT 2024 BEKEND! Walter Trout en The War and Treaty prijken bovenaan het affiche waarop de eerste namen voor de 32e editie van de Rhythm & Blues Night vermeld staan. Het zijn smaakmakers tussen de vele topacts die zaterdag 11 mei naar het Groningse festival in De Oosterpoort toekomen. Voor liefhebbers van blues en aanverwante muziekstijlen is de Rhythm & Blues Night vaste prik op de agenda vanwege de goede sfeer en fijne selectie artiesten uit de internationale blues, roots en rhythm ‘n’ blues scene. Ook The Seatsniffers, D.K. Harrel, Barrelhouse, Kitty Liv, The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band en Ledfoot zijn vandaag bevestigd voor het Groningse festival. BONGEZIWE MABANDLA: 5 benelux-shows in februari & nieuwe single "Libali" Bongeziwe Mabandla komt volgend jaar februari voor 5 shows naar de Benelux: De Zuid-Afrikaanse zanger/songschrijver Bongeziwe Mabandla is de laatste jaren ook flink buiten zijn thuisland aan de weg aan het timmeren. Voor zijn derde album “Iimini” (2020) kreeg hij vele handen op elkaar en ook zijn vele (Benelux/Europese) live-shows werden zeer goed bezocht en enthousiast ontvangen.

The Tibbs nieuw album(“Keep It To Yourself”) en single Op 26 januari a.s. verschijnt “Keep It To Yourself”, het derde album van de Noord-Hollandse vintage soulband The Tibbs. Net als debuutalbum “Takin’ Over”, dat nog met zangeres Elsa Beckman was en opvolger “Another Shot Fired” met vocals van Roxanne Hartog, zal dit derde album op het Milanese Record Kicks verschijnen. Het album werd geproduceerd door Paul Willemsen (o.a. Michelle David, Beans & Fatback). De mix werd verzorgd door Bob Olhsson, die nog voor Motown werkte. Vandaag verschijnt “Ain’t It Funny”, de eerste single afkomstig van “Keep It To Yourself”.
