Steve Vai and Favored Nations / Mascot Label Group have announced the release of VAI / GASH digitally and on CD January 27, 2023. The vinyl album release will follow on February 24. It captures the spirit of the open road freedom we felt while riding our Harley’s on bike rallies and interstate road trips. Kiko & the Blues Refugees have done in 2 years what many bands can’t achieve in many and that is creating a distinctive sound based in the blues and soul heritage of American music but with focus on current events. In Memoriam: Dan McCafferty(Nazareth)

Nazareth-zanger Dan McCafferty op 76-jarige leeftijd overleden

Dan McCafferty, de voormalige zanger van de Schotse rockband Nazareth, is overleden op 76-jarige leeftijd. Dat heeft Pete Agnew, de bassist van Nazareth, bekendgemaakt via een statement op social media. McCafferty overleed vandaag vlak na het middaguur.

,,Dit is de triestste aankondiging die ik ooit heb moeten doen”, schrijft Agnew. ,,De familie van Dan heeft een geweldige liefhebbende echtgenoot en vader verloren. Ik ben mijn beste vriend kwijt en de wereld heeft een van de grootste zangers verloren die ooit heeft geleefd.”

Het was juni toen zagen wij Jerry Joseph nog optreden met de Drive-by Truckers in Paradiso, Amsterdam. Hij was mee als support voor de Europese Drive-By Truckers tour.
Komende vrijdag of de week daarna verschijnt op Dial Back Sound, distro Sonic RendezVous.

Drive By Truckers en ex Dexateens bassist Matt Patton runt samen met Bronson Tew de Dial Back Sound Studios en brachten al menig fraai schijfje op eigen label op de markt zoals Krista Shows,
