Maar ja helemaal geen Ribs en Blues dat kan toch niet waar zijn en toch is het waar daarom veel muziek fragmenten en complete concerten die YOUTUBE rijk is.

Vandaag maakt Bospop de eerste namen voor 2022 bekend. Volgend jaar is het eindelijk tijd voor het 40-jarige jubileum van het festival. Na twee uitgestelde jaren staat Bospop 2022 gepland op vrijdag 8, zaterdag 9 en zondag 10 juli. Opnieuw verhuist een groot deel van de oorspronkelijke programmering mee naar 2022.

Afgelopen december bracht ik het album ‘Where The Road Takes Me’ uit, een album met eigen liedjes in diverse muziekstijlen.

Niet lang na de release nam ik het nummer The Ballad of a Damned Man op voor mijn lang gekoesterde
wens, het uitbrengen van een blues album. Hiervoor benaderde ik mijn vriend Matt Pribojzski, de Hongaarse bluesharp virtuoos, beter bekend als Jumping Matt (Grunting Pigs, Jumping Matt & His Combo), voor een muzikale bijdrage.

Het onafhankelijke muziekplatform Mpodia komt op vrijdag 21 mei 2021 om 17:00 uur met een video première van de nieuwe singel van het Haagse Duo Banty Holler “Clementine”. De single is sinds kort ook via Spotify te beluisteren maar de video geeft je een ultieme inkijk in het huidige plattelands gevoel waar niets een sleur hoeft te zijn, zolang je maar een goed zelfbeeld hebt. 

Banty Holler maakt al een tijdje eigenzinnige roots muziek waarin Alt Country, American folk, rock, blues, en rockabilly hand in hand gaan. De EP’s Half A Dozen (2016), Nothing Machine (2017), Tradition (2018) en Wired For Sound (2019) gingen vooraf aan hun nieuwe full length release The Journeyman Songs dat op 10 september 2021 zal uitkomen.
