De inmiddels 26e editie van het vaste prik festival met Pinksteren, Ribs & Blues in het Overijsselse Raalte, trekt al jaren rond de 30.000 bezoekers, ook nu er sinds vorig jaar entree geheven wordt, want helemaal gratis zoals in de jaren voor 2023 was gewoon financieel niet meer haalbaar voor de organisatie.

Het waren roerige tijden eind jaren ‘70tot begin jaren ’80 met krakersrellenen kraakdozen, met punk, electronischemuziek, new wave en non muziek. Het was de tijd van ‘do it yourself’ en regels waren er om genegeerd te worden. Dit allemaal was een goede voedingsbodem voor de Nederlandse onafhankelijke platenlabels Plurex, 1000 Idiotenen No Fun / Torso.

Nadat singles van Plurex artiesten Tits, Mollesters en Filth opnieuw waren uitgebracht door het 1975 label in Japan en het Mad Butcher label in Duitsland was er in 2016 de Plurex / No Fun compilatie ‘I Don’t Care’ met de eerste vier singles van ieder label.

This is a post 'Live At Hideaway' but pre debut album 2012 recording of 'The Angel Leaves Her Watermark', a track that finally saw the light of day on the 2020 'Signature Soul' collaboration with Redtenbacher's Funkestra, albeit in quite a different tempo and feel and, indeed, arrangement.

But, whilst we wait for Jo to make new music, we thought it too good not to warrant a digital release so ....
