De 82-jarige Dion DiMucci kan met recht een veteraan worden genoemd. In 1957 begonnen als zanger bij de Belmonts met doo-wop en pop, kwam in de zeventiger met christelijke muziek en dook in 2000 op met een bluesalbum. Hij werd toen verguisd als voormalig popsterretje, die een graantje mee wilde pikken van de populariteit van de blues. Critici werden al snel stil toen zij zijn werk hoorden. Ook collega-artiesten toonden hun waardering door op albums of tijdens optredens mee te doen. In 2020 verscheen het goed ontvangen “Blues With Friends” waar, zoals de titel al verraadt, hij medewerking krijgt van een aantal collega’s.

Greg Copeland is in juli 1954 geboren in Portsmouth (Virginia), en woont al ruim dertig jaar in Duitsland. Zijn zangstijl is sterk beïnvloed door James Brown, Wilson Pickett, Robert Johnson, Howlin´ Wolf e.d. en muzikaal zit hij dan ook ergens tussen de Deep Down Blues, soul en funk. Hij heeft samengewerkt met o.m. Gerry Williams (ex-Eruption), en de blues gitaristen Gregor Hilden, Guitar Crusher en Kai Strauss. Daarnaast heeft hij zijn eigen band en maakt hij met Martin Messing deel uit van het akoestische bluesduo Deep Down South.
