De recente zorgelijke ontwikkelingen rondom de opleving van het coronavirus in heel Nederland en de rest van Europa en de daarbij gepaarde nieuwe maatregelen treffen ook het recent aangekondigde en gratis toegankelijke Summer Square op het evenementenplein in Hengelo. De uiteenlopende culturele activiteiten, met iedere dag een andere organisator en doelgroep, zouden verspreid over 9 dagen plaatsvinden tussen 6 tot en met 22 augustus, inclusief het horecaterras dat op 1,5 meter afstand, omheind en seated is opgesteld, komen daarmee volledig te vervallen.

Dit is opnieuw een tegenvaller voor de Hengelose organisatoren, maar zeker ook voor de inwoners en de centrumondernemers, die al zoveel te verduren hebben gehad.

Hierbij de vierde track van het nieuwe Los Lobos album “Native Sons” wat 30 juli gaat verschijnen.

To honor Browne, the band chose “Jamaica Say You Will.” This was the first song on Browne’s 1972 self-titled debut album. It’s a piano-driven love-song ballad with a true California feel—perhaps because, as Browne has said, the tune was written for a woman who worked in an organic orchard in Zuma Beach across from the Pacific Ocean. It doesn’t get much more California-in-the-70s than that.

Het Wereld Natuur Fonds (WWF) is de nieuwe partner van 3FM Serious Request. Dat heeft 3FM-dj Sander Hoogendoorn vanmorgen bekendgemaakt in zijn ochtendshow. In de week voor kerst zet 3FM zich traditiegetrouw in voor het goede doel. Dit jaar wil de zender zoveel mogelijk geld inzamelen voor het WWF. Het precieze doel, de exacte locatie en welke dj’s in actie komen, wordt later onthuld. Wel is al bekend geworden dat 3FM Serious Request zich dit jaar vestigt in Amersfoort.
