Iemand die zichzelf steeds weer opnieuw weet uit te vinden en weet op te richten is ongetwijfeld Tom Jones. Stond hij vanaf midden zeventiger jaren min of meer uitgeblust als nachtclubzanger in Las Vegas bekend, wist hij zich zo’n twintig jaar geleden te herpakken en overrompelde hij, begeleid door the Art Of Noise, de hitlijsten met “Kiss” van Prince.

Recensie: Gary Moore – How Blue Can You Get
Het is dit jaar alweer 10 jaar geleden dat een van de allerbeste Europese bluesgitaristen of all time overleed. Gary Moore, die zijn geboorteland Noord-Ierland als jonge muzikant al snel verruilde voor de Ierse republiek, begon zijn muzikale carrière als hardrock gitarist in de bands van zijn vriend Phil Lynott, Skid Row en later Thin Lizzy, maar eigenlijk vond Moore die hardrock maar niks en in 1990 keerde hij terug naar zijn grote liefde, de blues. Met het album ‘Still Got The Blues’ scoorde Moore direct een smash hit.
