Malford Milligan en zijn Southern Aces toerden al mee met Johan Derksen’s theatertour en stonden eerder al in De Smidse in Nijverdal. Nu is hij met zijn eigen voorstelling ‘I Was A Witness’ te zien in het ZINiN Theater op zaterdag 12 maart 2022. Hij is een fenomenale soulzanger die zijn gelijke niet meer kent. De stem van de Amerikaanse soulmuzikant wordt vergeleken met soul iconen Otis Redding en Al Green.
Een indrukwekkende muzikant
We currently starting up a promotion and publicity campaign for the new release Known To Be Unknown by MICKELSON that will be due on Friday April 15th 2022.
Known To Be Unknown was written and recorded while in lockdown. Mickelson performs all the instruments with the exception of drums, cello, and horns. “It was depressing having to cancel my tours in support of Drowning In An Inflatable Pool (2020). Everyone suffered in the lockdown. Then I heard the McCartney III album I told myself to stop whining and get busy again. I soon wrote and recorded the song Go To Bed Hungry and never stopped.”

Dixi’s Amersfoort is een bluesrock band uit Amersfoort welke ontstaan is eind jaren 80 onder de toenmalige naam Dickies. De band is voortgekomen uit de bands Wells Fargo en Attila met toen Dirk Kollen (Wells Fargo, Blackstreet Blues) op bas, Herbie Vanderloo (Wells Fargo, Attila) op gitaar en Willem Michels op drums.
Rising Americana singer/songwriter Jeremie Albino is excited to announce details of his forthcoming six song EP titled Past Dawn. Produced by Michael Trent of Shovels & Rope, the collection is set for release on April 1st via Good People Record Co. Jeremie will hit the road with Shovels & Rope this spring followed by a European Headline Tour and several festival dates.
Gulf Coast Records announces what promises to be THE blues music tour of the year: “Blood Brothers,” featuring Blues Music Award-winners Mike Zito and Albert Castiglia, which kicks off in late March and goes through April.
Both Mike Zito and Albert Castiglia are celebrating the release of blazing new albums: Zito’s double live set, Blues for the Southside (released Feb. 18) , debuted at number one on the Billboard Blues Chart; and Castiglia’s new disc, I Got Love, is set for release on March 25. For the “Blood Brothers” tour, fans will get to see each band doing a set, followed by both bands uniting onstage for a grand finale.

Op 3 december staat de legendarische band Jethro Tull, nog altijd onder de bezielende leiding van fluitist en vocalist Ian Anderson, in Wilminktheater Enschede.

Na ruim 50 jaar is Jethro Tull, onder nog altijd bezielende leiding van fluitist en vocalist Ian Anderson nog lang niet uitgespeeld. De band die eind jaren 60 baanbrekende albums uitbracht waaronder bona fide klassiekers als Aqualung en Thick As A Brick is nog steeds in de studio te vinden maar vooral ook op het podium.
Paul de Munnik, Kees Prins en JP den Tex rijden langs de Nederlandse theaters met hun nieuwe concert De Vertalingen. De single De Last (Nederlandse vertaling van The Weight van Robbie Robertson) is van de reeds verschenen CD: https://lnk.to/delast.
