Veteran South African rocker Steve Louw announces his sophomore solo release Thunder and Rain, available November 11, 2022 through BFD / The Orchard, with the release of the first single and title track today. The album was produced by Kevin Shirley (John Hiatt, Robert Cray Band, the Black Crowes) and features contributions from guitar wizards Joe Bonamassa, and Doug Lancio.

Veel mensen die geïnteresseerd zijn in muziek zullen zich zeker de prachtige akoestische ballad "Indigo Girl" uit 2002 herinneren, die door bijna alle radiostations werd gespeeld. Dit is het verhaal van een meisje op wie de hoofdpersoon smoorverliefd wordt, maar waarvan hij zeker weet dat hij dit meisje nooit zal kunnen winnen. Op de bijhorende video is te zien hoe deze vrouw in gedachten steeds door zijn blikveld rent, ze staat naast hem, maar bestaat niet echt. Daarom bevat de video altijd fragmenten van wat lijkt op bewakingscamera's, waarin de vrouw ook niet te zien is. Maar uiteindelijk zie je haar echt, wat ons waarschijnlijk zou moeten laten zien dat dromen soms kunnen uitkomen - vooral die naar een Indigo-meisje.
