Laatste concert van dit culturele seizoen  Afgelopen vrijdag was het laatste concert van dit culturele seizoen in Het Podium. Rhythm & Blues Night 2023 – De eerste namen!

Eerste namen Rhythm & Blues Night in De Oosterpoort bekend!

Menig liefhebber van blues en aanverwante muziekstijlen heeft zaterdag 29 april al lang in de agenda staan, want dan vindt in De Oosterpoort in Groningen namelijk de 31e editie van de Rhythm & Blues Night plaats. Het festival brengt elk jaar vele topacts uit de internationale blues, roots en Rhythm ‘n’ Blues scene bij elkaar onder één dak en heeft de lat voor komend jaar hoog gelegd. De eerste smaakmakers die naar Groningen komen zijn namelijk: Kenny Wayne Shepherd, David Eugene Edwards, Ana Popovic en Jason Ringenberg & His Barnstormers.

Ana Popovic (US) is back on the road! Vanaf 1995 vormde zij met drie anderen de band Hush, in 1998 ging ze in Nederland Jazz studeren en ging Hush uit elkaar. Vanaf 1999 trad ze solo op en sinds 2012 woont ze in Amerika, eerst in Memphis en later in Los Angeles.

Jeff Fetterman is a blues/rock guitarist who delivers the promise to keep the blues alive and well.
