Until The Sun are Brandon Teskey, guitars; Alyssa Swartz, vocals; David Raymer, bass; Michael Young, keyboards; and Chris Tex, drums. They formed in 2017 and have been making their mark in the Arizona blues and rock community with high-energy live shows and solid recordings.

Their music includes and often fuses elements of Blues, Alternative Rock, Pink-Floyd-esque, Psychedelia, and Jazz.

“Until The Sun are a psychedelic blues band with a feelfor mid-’60s rock and ‘70’s American rock and roll. Theyhave many weapons that enable them to make memo-rable music; one in particular sets them aside from anyof their contemporaries – Alyssa Swartz on vocals. Shehas a deep and soulful voice -think Grace Slick with largeamounts of Janis Ian and Sonja Kristina - and takes themusic to truly great potential. Brandon Teskey writes themajority of the material and plays some beautiful guitar,partly in a post-Barret Floydian manner but also in a Ste-vie Ray Vaughan electric-Blues vein. He clearly has somevery tasty Blues roots but, for me, it’s his writing that isspecial. Highly recommended.

This is a band with deeproots that isn’t afraid to go psychedelic! Singer AlyssaSwartz and guitarist Brandon Teskey have crafted a veryindividual sound, sometimes rather attractively retro, atother times approaching alt blues (try ‘Your Well,’ and no,that’s not a spelling mistake). There’s plenty of energy tothis album, a lot of affection and commitment.
