John Clifton - Too Much To Pay Touring the USA and Europe up100 to 200 days a year for the last couple of decades until the COVID pandemic hit which slowed the roll of most touring musicians.  John planned to regroup write and record new music during the lockdown,  but in June of 2020 He was plagued with a severe case of heart failure which halted all progress.  “I got hit with a double whammy” says John.

After a couple of years of recovering John finally returned to the road in ebruary 2022 and began gathering ideas for the new release.
We are excited to announce the latest release of California lues singer and harmonica layer John Clifton’s new lbum, “Too Much To Pay.”  hile on tour in Europe in August of 2023 “Too Much To Pay” as recorded in Warsaw Poland at Zle I Tanio Studio with embers of the Polish R&B oogie band The Boogie Boys wh often back John while touring Europe. The album was brought back to California where it had the finishing touches done, Making “Too Much to Pay” a true international project.

“Too Much To Pay” is the fourt full length release from ohn and it consists of 10 ll original songs Each song s a different style while haring a common sound from raditional Chicago blues to 0’s soul to swamp rock. This album is a high voltage tapestry of style and sound!

Too Much to Pay will be released on all streaming platforms, CD, and Vinyl  February 24 2024
