Cuby Museum Grolloo brengt cd Legacy Leeft uit

Het Cuby Museum Grolloo presenteert komende zondag, tijdens de platenbeurs in het bluesdorp een eigen cd. Op de plaat, onder de titel ‘Legacy Leeft’ spelen diverse groepen en musici nummers van de bekendste Nederlandse blues Cuby & The Blizzards. Om 13.30 uur zal de cd gepresenteerd worden, met een live-optreden van bluesgitarist Luca Holkenborg.

Met het uitbrengen van de cd ‘Legacy Leeft’ bewijst het C+B Museum in Grolloo dat de muzikale erfenis van Cuby & The Blizzards nog springlevend is. Vanaf april 2023 wordt in Harry’s boerderij aan de Voorstreek 4 in Grolloo tijdens de gelijknamige expositie getoond waar je de populaire bluesband van weleer, Cuby & The Blizzards, nu nog steeds kunt tegenkomen.

In Memoriam: Greg Kihn

Greg Kihn overleed op 13 augustus 2024  

 Zijn muziek, vooral de twee hits "Jeopardy" en "The Breakup Song (They Don't Write 'Em)", zal waarschijnlijk voor altijd geassocieerd worden met Greg Kihn en zijn gelijknamige band.

Zanger Greg Kihn is op 75-jarige leeftijd overleden aan complicaties als gevolg van de ziekte van Alzheimer. De artiest is vooral bekend van zijn jarentachtighit Jeopardy. De familie van Kihn heeft zijn overlijden bekendgemaakt.

De muzikant, songwriter. Radiopresentator en auteur hadden het beroemde talent voor het creëren van liedjes die een mix waren van niet te hardrock en niet te oppervlakkige pop - gegarneerd met folk en blues - die bij veel muzieksmaken pasten.
