Led by producer Byron Isaacs (Lumineers, Ollabelle, Levon Helm Band), The Alexis P. Suter Band is exploring new musical creations, fusing genres with creative expression into fresh and innovative sounds. Three-time Blues Music Award nominee Alexis P. Suter on lead vocals is joined by Jimmy Bennett on guitar and Peter Bennett on bass, vocals (The Bennett Brothers); Ray Grappone (Carole King, Bette Midler) on drums, vocals ; Daniel Weiss (Goo Goo Dolls, Joan Osborne, Disney on Broadway) on keyboards; and Will Bryant (Donald Fagen) and Vicki Bell (Amy Helm) on vocals.
One day, when Alexis was, once again, crammed in the back seat of an over-stuffed car on the way to a tour date, one of her bandmates asked, “Are you OK back there, Lexi?” Without missing a beat she responded, “Yeah Baby, 4 wheels beats 2 heels any day!” And it wasn’t too long afterwards that the band had their latest hit written and ready for the recording studio!
Bursting onto the music scene as regular performers at Levon Helm’s legendary Midnight Rambles in Woodstock, New York, the band has been making music together for nearly two decades. “4 Wheels Beats 2 Heels” is the first single from the band’s recent recording sessions. Mixed and mastered by 13-time GRAMMY-winning producer and engineer, John Porter, The Alexis P. Suter Band has officially shifted into overdrive with their latest musical creation.
