Pink Floyd guitarist/vocalist David Gilmour has announced his first solo album in nine years, Luck and Strange. The first track is “The Piper’s Call.”

Recorded during five months in Brighton and London, the record sees Gilmour team up with Alt-J producer Charlie Andrew. The collaboration pushed Gilmour to expand his horizons and rethink his traditional methods of composition. Lyrics were mostly written by Polly Samson, Gilmour’s co-writer for the past 30 years.

ARROW ROCK FESTIVAL KOMT MET ‘THE BLUESBOX EDITION’ IN ATIK STADION ROOSENDAAL Arrow Rock Festival is terug van weggeweest en komt dit jaar met ‘The BluesBox Edition’. Het festival vindt plaats op zaterdag 22 juni 2024 in het Atik Stadion te Roosendaal. De eerste namen zijn reeds bekend gemaakt. Uit het Verenigd Koninkrijk komt Renegade feat Darren Wharton, het originele lid van Thin Lizzy, voor een spectaculaire Thin Lizzy Show, en de veelvoudige Blues Guitar award winnaar Laurence Jones. Van Nederlandse bodem hebben ze o.a. Voltage, Harlem Lake, AJ Plug en Nicko Christiansen’s Livin Blues weten te strikken. Verder komt vanuit België Milo Meskens naar Roosendaal.

New Single: Saratoga

Eddie 9V heeft een nieuwe single uitgebracht genaamd “Saratoga” via Ruf Records. Het nummer is de eerste single van Eddie's aankomende album dat later dit jaar zal verschijnen.

“Saratoga is geschreven in een perfect westers landschap”, zegt Eddie. “We hadden een slechte dag onderweg en ik zat op een willekeurige Air B&B-veranda een riff te kiezen die ik onlangs had bedacht. Ik was al deze kleine teksten aan het schrijven terwijl ik uitkeek naar een enorm muilezelhert recht voor me dat gras en wortels at die ik naar hen gooide.
