Chris was een revelatie op het “Holland International Blues Festival” 2022 in Grolloo!!!!

Chris Cain brengt een soulvolle stoofpot van elektrische blues in Memphis-stijl. Zijn krachtige diepe zang en jazz geïnspireerde, blues gitaar riffs zijn onvergetelijk; uniek van hemzelf, terwijl het doet denken aan de legendarische BB King en Albert King. Als kind bezocht Chris Cain samen met zijn vader concerten van de grote bluesartiesten uit die tijd. Toen Cain in 1987 op de blues scene verscheen met zijn bekroonde debuutalbum, bleek hij al snel het podium te delen en licks uit te wisselen met een paar van die legendes, waaronder Albert King en Albert Collins. Chris Cain heeft een dozijn albums uitgebracht, elk gevuld met soul-stirring songs getrokken uit zijn eigen blues doordrenkte hart. Zijn stijl van blues is onvergetelijk.

Het country, roots en rock-n-roll icoon Joe Ely uit Texas heeft zijn nooit eerder uitgebrachte album met kinderliedjes uitgebracht. De plaat heet Flatland Lullaby en is al sinds 1984 in productie.

Joe Ely nam enkele liedjes op die hij voor zijn dochter schreef toen ze een peuter was. Destijds werden er kopieën gemaakt en verspreid onder verschillende familieleden en vrienden, waaronder bevriende muzikanten zoals Bruce Springsteen. 

In 1971 richtte hij samen met Lubbock-muzikanten Jimmie Dale Gilmore en Butch Hancock The Flatlanders op, met wie hij in 2012 het goed ontvangen album The Odessa Tapes heeft uitgebracht.
