John Vento Pays Tribute To Miss USA Cheslie Kryst, Promotes Suicide Prevention In Latest Music Video

The music video for John Vento’s #1 UK iTunes single, “Sweet Cheslie”

When John Vento released his latest single, “Sweet Cheslie” at the end of September, he had no idea how great an impact the song would have. In fact, Vento was apprehensive about writing and recording a song about the suicide of former Miss USA, Cheslie Kryst. It was writer Matt Wohlfarth,

 whose lyrical sketch proved the deciding factor in Vento moving forward with the song’s creation and production. Along with Shane McLaughlin (Buffalo Rose), David Granati, and Bob Zigerelli, the team emerged with a beautiful tribute that would reach the top of the UK iTunes charts.

Diverse media omschrijven Ruben als een ‘stergitarist van wereldklasse' en 'een van de grootste eigentijdse Nederlandse gitaristen’. Sinds 2004 koerst hij met zijn Ruben Hoeke Band zijn eigen weg.

STRÖM follows up their debut album with a music video for their song Ensam är stark. A song about the struggles of being a single parent.

“Ensam är stark” (Alone is Strong) is taken from STRÖM’s debut album, which was released on September 23 and after a week entered the swedish sales charts among the top positions (Hard Rock of the Week, Vinyl of the Week, Physical of the Week). The song’s lyrics are written by STRÖM’s singer, Zdravko Zizmond.

– “Ensam är stark” is about being a single parent and fighting through everyday life, perhaps fighting to be the best parent, a good colleague, a good friend and good to yourself, he says. Many people take this battle every day, without anyone patting them on the back. They are strong in being alone but they are not alone. There are many of us who have made and are making this journey.
