K.K. Hammond is a slide guitarist, singer-songwriter channelling the dark and gritty vibe of the swamp and old Appalachia into her personal take on the Blues. She takes her influence from the early Delta Bluesmen of the 1930s including Skip James, Robert Johnson, Son House, Charlie Patton and Leadbelly, as well as more contemporary acts such as Tom Waits and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

K.K. took an interest in guitar, Americana and the Blues from an early age and spent some years travelling around the USA exploring the back country. Eventually she settled back into the Buckinghamshire countryside in the U.K. where she works with horses. A self-professed hermit living in an isolated spot in the woods, K.K. enjoys exploring the wilderness surrounding her home to seek inspiration for her song writing.

“It must never be forgotten than Blues music traditionally arose out of some very hard times for African American people and has touched upon some dark subject matters historically. Of course, the early folklore surrounding musicians such as Tommy Johnson and Robert Johnson selling their souls to the devil certainly paved the way for the combination of blues and horror themes too. My lyrics tend to be pretty dark and unsettling at times and I felt this was the perfect springboard to launch myself into making horror themed music videos to best deliver them.”

K.K.’s new album, “Death Roll Blues” will be made available on digital, vinyl and CD on the 31st of March 2023 with a single by the same name featuring David & the Devil dropping along with album presales on Halloween: 31st of October 2022.
