Marillion, opgericht in 1979, Britse band maakt progressieve rock.
De naam komt van het boek The Silmarillion van de schrijver J.R.R. Tolkien.
Leadzanger Derek Dick "Fish" kwam in 1981 bij de groep. In 1985 de grote doorbraak met het album Misplaced Childhood waar de wereldhit "Kayleigh" vanaf kwam. Fish verliet de band in 1988 om solo te gaan, de nieuwe leadzanger werd Steve Hogarth.

Daar heeft hij zichzelf in quarantaine opgesloten in zijn eigen studio, Chubbyland Laboratories, van waaruit hij de wereld via het televisiescherm heeft aanschouwd. En wat doet een muzikant als Popa Chubby dan? Die gaat liedjes schrijven over wat hij ziet, ervaart en voelt.
