Vorig jaar bracht de Engels-Belgisch-Nederlandse rockformatie SLOPER de single-video ‘The Thin Line’ uit, afkomstig van het debuutalbum ‘Pulverise’ dat in augustus 2021 via Suburban Records het levenslicht zag. Het nummer is gebaseerd op het overlijden van de vaste chauffeur van SLOPER-drummer Cesar Zuiderwijk; en is een contemplatie over de dunne scheidslijn tussen leven en dood.

Cesar Zuiderwijk: “We hebben ‘The Thin Line’ tijdens onze clubtour als toegift gespeeld in een akoestische versie. Dat was heel emotioneel, ook voor ons publiek. We kregen onwijs veel goeie reacties daarop. Daarom hebben we besloten om het vandaag officieel als akoestische versie te releasen. Het is bovendien ook nog eens een prachtig nummer voor de radio.”

Leadzanger CCR komt toch niet naar Blues Festival

Velen keken ernaar uit: John Fogerty in levende lijve op het Holland International Blues Festival in Grolloo, maar de voormalige leadzanger van Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) heeft zijn volledige Europese tour afgeblazen en zal daarom ook niet optreden in Grolloo. Hij wil niet naar Europa komen vanwege de oorlog in Oekraïne.
