On Thursday, May 9, 2024, the Blues Foundation announced the winners of the 45th Annual Blues Music Awards. Alligator Records artists received a total of six awards.
It's time to record the follow up to 2023 release The Flame, which received airplay on 70+ stations across the U.S., Canada, and U.K. We’ll be in the studio in March to record eight songs for the yet unnamed album due out in early summer. Thrilled that bassist Steven C Manns and drummer Mike Gee will again be on this recording. FUN FACT: Steven and Mike have been lifelong friends since meeting in 4th grade. Between two members of the exciting new group SONNY & THE7EVENTHTIME, their musical credits are a who’s who of the music industry. And now, these world-renowned artists, drummer Sonny Emory and longtime friend bassist Sam Sims, are joined by Sonny’s talented sons Nic Gibran (Vocals/Keys) and Ni Emory (Master Engineer) to present their self-titled debut album THE7EVENTHTIME, scheduled for release November 17, 2023.

Ik hoop dat jullie allemaal goed blijven. Het is voor velen een uitdagend jaar geweest. Ik heb er vertrouwen in dat we zullen doorkomen naar groovy tijden.
Over twee dagen onderga ik weer een herniaoperatie. Ik had vorig jaar en net als een crimineel die schuld pleitte: 'Ik weet waar ik aan toe ben'. Mijn enige plan voor de komende maanden is om te herstellen.
