Een heerlijke rockschijf

Net in de week dat Rolling Stones-drummer Charlie Watts de ‘oversteek’ maakte, kreeg ik dit album van Dennis DeYoung ter recensie aangeboden. Vanwaar die associatie ? De Amerikaanse muzikant maakte een tijd terug bekend dat hij een punt ging zetten achter zijn carrière als studioartiest. Een loopbaan die een imposant cv opleverde als sterkhouder binnen rockband Styx, zowel als compositorische kracht als oprichter/zanger/toetsenist, maar ook enkele sterke soloplaten tot gevolg had.

Debuutalbum: Infinite & Divine

 Infinite & Divine is een nieuw Zweeds duo bestaande uit muzikant en songwriter Jan Åkesson en zanger Tezzi (ook bekend als Terese Persson). De twee hadden elkaar ontmoet en hun krachten gebundeld in 2019, in het besef dat de combinatie van Jan's energieke zware riffs en muzikale veelzijdigheid gecombineerd met Tezzi's rauwe maar melodieuze vocale stijl iets heel unieks en aantrekkelijks creëerde met wendingen en bochten.
