We have not seen any of our family for over 16 months and finally, a week ago, we were reunited with our long-term session drummer Steve Gibson who managed to fly out from Manchester, UK to join us in Portugal. 

It was surreal seeing Steve walking through the arrivals gate at Lisbon airport all masked up but once we got home and had a good old catch up the world felt right again!

The three of us have spent the last week working in the studio recording the final four tracks for our new album 'The Language of Curiosity' plus two new musical projects we have in the works. 

We do love a good laugh and because the recording process can be quite intense at times, a little comedic light relief is sometimes needed!

 Ze had het op safe kunnen spelen en weer soul album kunnen maken, maar in een tragische twist in het leven overleed in 2019 haar vader Joe Smith – voormalig gitarist, musical director en songschrijver voor Motown’s The Four Tops – en zorgde bij Gizelle voor een creatieve reset. Met haar producer Steffen Wagner en verloofde, bassist Joseph Sam, gingen ze in New York 10 dagen songs schrijven. Wat volgde waren 9 songs die een unieke combinatie vormen van R&B en funk, maar niet de experimenten met pop en rock schuwen.

De uit het Engelse Bath afkomstige gitarist Jamie Thyer zit alweer zo’n dikke drie decennia in de muziek. In zijn
thuisland en het Europese vasteland maakt hij de podia onveilig met zijn stevige van-dik-hout rock en bluesrock.
Hij is wel vergeleken als een kruising tussen George Thorogood, Gary Moore en Wilko Johnson. Men is dus gewaarschuwd.
