Rising British Blues Troubadour Connor Selby Signs to Provogue/Mascot Label Group

Provogue / Mascot Label Group are delighted to announce the signing of rising British blues troubadour Connor Selby. Provogue is home to some of the biggest names in blues and beyond, including Joe Bonamassa, Beth Hart, George Benson, Eric Gales, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Walter Trout, Johnny Lang and many more.

The Essex born Selby is one of the brightest talents on the UK blues scene and has been voted "Young Artist of the Year" at the UK Blues Awards for the last two consecutive years. He has also picked up three prestigious nominations for "Young Blues Artist of the Year," "Emerging Blues Artist of the Year", and "Blues Album of the Year" at this years' UK Blues Awards – the results to be announced on 15th May.

Connor Selby - I Can't Let You Go

Connor Selby releases the debut single from his upcoming (self titled) album due later this Summer. This track 'I Can't Let You Go' opens the album and Connor himself should need little introduction to blues fans - he's already played Wembley Stadium at the invitation of 'The Who' - and his upcoming album should further secure his position as our leading young bluesman walking in the traditions of Eric Clapton and Peter Green; big shoes to fill but Connor has 'big feet' on both the vocal and guitar front where the direct nature of those skills rarely fail to connect.

Connor creates a soulful blend of hard-hitting blues and emotional, introspective song writing, which, at times, evokes a modern take on the best of the British blues boom of the 1960’s.
