Devon Allman op tweede Pinksterdag in Raalte
Allman, een naam die tot in de eeuwigheid verbonden zal blijven aan de betere Southern rock. Devon Allman is de zoon van de in 2017 overleden Gregg Allman, toetsenist, zanger en songwriter van de legendarische Allman Brothers Band.
In 2017 formeerde hij het Devon Allman Project en startte een wereldtournee in 2018-2019 met Duane Betts als speciale gast. Dat leidde tot de Allman Betts Band.
Op 2e Pinksterdag staat deze Allman Brothers telg met eigen band op de Mainstage in Raalte.

Ooit, kort na het uitkomen van haar eerste album “Wildfire”, vertelde Elles Bailey mij dat ze als de dood was voor het zogenaamde ‘2nd album syndrome’. Het eerste album werd alom goed ontvangen en de opvolger zou minstens net zo goed moeten zijn. Daar is ze toen prima in geslaagd. En nu is nummertje 3 uitgekomen. Is de uit het Engelse Bristol afkomstige zangeres er in geslaagd die stijgende lijn voort te zetten? Waren haar eerste twee platen nog opgenomen in Nashville, “Shining In The Half Light” is, mede door de pandemie en het feit dat zij toen zes maanden zwanger was, volledig in het Verenigd Koninkrijk opgenomen.
