Christone "Kingfish" Ingram, 23, the rising-star blues guitarist, songwriter and vocalist from Clarksdale, Mississippi, won the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Blues Album for his sophomore release, 662. The award, Ingram’s first-ever Grammy, was presented at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday, April 3. Ingram’s debut album, 2019’s Kingfish, had previously received a Grammy Award nomination.

Ook onder meer Walter Trout en King Solomon Hicks zijn van de partij op 9, 10 en 11 juni in Blues Village Grolloo. De kaartverkoop voor de jubileumeditie wordt hervat op vrijdag 28 januari.

Kaarten die al waren gekocht voor de editie van 2020 blijven geldig.

Door corona moest het Holland International Blues Festival twee keer worden verplaatst, maar het vijfjarig bestaan wordt in juni alsnog groots gevierd: verdeeld over maar liefst drie dagen in plaats van twee.
