Kenny Wayne Shepherd was pas een broekie van 18 jaar oud toen hij in 1995 zijn debuutalbum ‘Ledbetter Heights’ op de markt slingerde en waarmee hij bluesliefhebbers meteen aan zich wist te binden. Twee jaar verscheen het nog meer aansprekende ‘Trouble Is’ en wie een beetje kan rekenen, beseft dat die plaat dus een kwart eeuw oud is, vandaar de enigszins aangepaste albumtitel.

Since he burst from the blues clubs of Louisiana onto the global music scene with 1995’s breakthrough first album Ledbetter Heights, followed by his career defining second album Trouble Is... in 1997, Shepherd has twisted those classic cuts into bold new shapes each night on the stage. Led by the pulse of the crowd, every last note alive in his hands, the songs have always been on the move, never settling into museum pieces. But to give a quarter-century-old album a second birth is another matter. When Kenny looked up the road and saw the 25th anniversary of Trouble Is... on the horizon, he hatched an audacious plan.

Om het 25-jarig bestaan van dit iconische album te vieren bevat de jubileumversie naast de remaster door Bernie Grundman ook nooit eerder verschenen tracks van de originele sessie tapes uit 1996 - ‘Vicenta’ is daar een van en is vanaf vandaag te beluisteren.
