Het met een Grammy-Award en Americana Music Awards bekroonde Southern bluesrock duo Larkin Poe heeft hun nieuwste liedje Mockingbird uitgebracht. Dit is de tweede single afkomstig van hun album Bloom, dat op 24 januari het levenslicht ziet.
Larkin Poe is de band rondom de zussen Rebecca en Megan Lovell uit de Amerikaanse stad Atlanta. Mockingbird gaat thematisch over het worden van jezelf over de jaren heen, waar ze zelf over zeggen:
"Mockingbird is a tender reflection on the perpetual journey of becoming. When all tallied up, the countless missteps we inevitably take along the way can feel disheartening — but looking too long in the rearview can be harmful to one’s future. Choosing to find the hidden meaning in the many pit stops and messy detours that life sometimes demands has felt like a very important perspective shift."
