November 25 will see the relase of a great new album by German blues guitar master Kai Strauss. As Alligator Boss Bruce Iglauer says it:
“Kai Strauss is a subtle and sophisticated bluesman who has it all—he can deliver a lyric vocally, create an interesting and unusually structured blues song, and he plays very “grown up” guitar. He is one of those guitar players who understands what the important notes are. Kai’s new album, “Night Shift” features two guest appearances by one of the blues fastest-rising stars—Chicago’s Toronzo Cannon. Toronzo had great fun recording these vocals and solos, because of how interesting and unusual Kai’s arrangements were. Clearly, the two guitarists inspired each other. It’s a pleasure to listen to them together.”
