The Brother Brothers is de band van de uit Brooklyn, New York afkomstige eeneiige tweeling David en Adam Moss. Met hun debuutalbum “Some People I Know” wisten zij al de ogen op zich gericht te krijgen. Onlangs verscheen de opvolger “Calla Lilly”. Naast hun perfecte samenzang bespelen de broer diverse instrumenten zelf.

David is bv.

For A Star To Fall”. Erg mooi is de afsluiter “My Holy Way”, waarbij de stem enigszins doet denken aan die van John Lennon. Prima plaat.

The Brother Brothers is the band of identical twins David and Adam Moss from Brooklyn, New York. With their debut album "Some People I Know" they already managed to get their eyes on them. Recently, the successor “Calla Lilly” was released. In addition to their perfect harmony vocals, the brother play various instruments themselves. David can be heard on guitar, cello and piano and his brother Adam does the honors with violin, Wurlitzer, Hammond B3 and guitar. They are also accompanied on bass, drums, keys and guitar.

Their perfect harmony vocals are striking, reminiscent of duos like the Everly Brothers, Simon & Garfunkel or bands like Crosby, Stills & Nash and the Buffalo Springfield. Musically one could call this americana, that vague expression that, in this case, is somewhere in between country, folk and pop. The CD immediately shoots off with the uptempo “On The Road Again”, which has also been released as a single. With the subdued “Sorrow” the pace is gone. The violin emphasizes the sadness of the song. Special is “A Poquito Doina” a song only played by the violin only, which turns into the country song “Waiting For A Star To Fall”. Very nice is the closing track “My Holy Way”, in which the voice is somewhat reminiscent of John Lennon's. Great record. Recommended for lovers of beautiful and harmonious songs.
