BONNIE BISHOP - THE WALK
(Thirty Tigers / Plan BB)
Bertus Records
Bonnie Bishop’s lively confessional The Walk, dedicated by her ‘to all who wander’, is an emotionally charged album, helmed by GRAMMY winning producer Steve Jordan (Robert Cray, Jon Mayer, BuddyGuy) and her most honest effort to date. The Walk furthers the journey of self-discovery Bonnie started on her previous album, Ain’t Who I Was, which drew widespread acclaim, including raves fromThe New York Times, Rolling Stone, NPR, and others.
Framing the seven-song album in one-word definitions (such as PURPOSE for “Love Revolution,” and DOUBT for the moving title track “The Walk”) Bonnie captures the frailty of life’s contradictions and conflicts with an unblinking, no-holding-back approach to each song. The groove-laden production of Steve Jordan completes the compact she made with herself to flourish outside of her comfort zone.

In all, Bonnie has recorded five albums, rising through the country/Americana ranks, and receiving various awards for her songwriting. In 2016,
Bonnie embarked upon an album with producer David Cobb, the universally acclaimed Ain’t Who I Was which showcased the more soulful side of the dynamic singer. She moved from Nashville back
