With the synths and keyboard parts taking ever more prominence in the sound, Lights is Fabrizio’s most sonically expansive work to date.
This sonic experimentation contrasts with Fabrizio’s ongoing All Is Brighter was inspired by traditional Spanish Flamenco music, whilst Cassiopea, a reference to the Greek Goddess, features a chorus sung in his native Italian.

Following the widespread critical acclaim for Of Shadows, Fabrizio has performed many headline tours, as well as support shows with luminaries such as Villagers, Damien Rice and Paper Kites; showcase appearances at SXSW and Great Escape; and performances at festivals with Berlin choir Cantus Domus. The special performances with Cantus Domus were recorded, and tracks from the concerts were featured on a deluxe version of Of Shadows. For the recording of Lights Fabrizio worked again with long-time collaborator, the acclaimed producer Dani Castelar (Paolo Nutini, Editors, REM) between Studio Indigo in Palermo, Sicily and Barxeta in Valencia, spain. Lights features performances by Fabrizio with his band Donato di Trapani (synths), Carmelo Drago (bass), and Adam Dawson (drums and percussion).
