In Memoriam: Clem Burke(Blondie)

Clem Burke, de drummer van de Amerikaanse rockband Blondie, is op zeventigjarige leeftijd overleden.  Dat hebben bandleden Debbie Harry en Chris Stein maandag op sociale media bekendgemaakt. Burke leed aan kanker. "Met diep verdriet delen we het nieuws van het overlijden van onze geliefde vriend en bandlid Clem Burke na een strijd tegen kanker", staat in de verklaring.........

‘MARKTBLUES’ nieuw idee van BluesinWijk.  Kleinschalig, intiem en (semi) akoestisch met het crème de la crème van de NL blues.    Het beste van de blues.  BluesinWijk geeft Wijk al 16 jaar het beste van de Blues. Niet alleen in het theater en café’s maar steeds weer verzinnen ze wat anders. Een Bluescruise op de Lek, Blues bij de Buren, workshops, blueswandelingen, Gospelnight, filmvoorstellingen en natuurlijk de succesvolle Blueskroegentocht.   MarktBlues. Vrijdagavond 18 april organiseren ze een nieuw klein festival met (semi) akoestische bluesartiesten. Bluesliefhebbers kopen een ticket bij theater Calypso, melden zich de 18e in het theater en wandelen van daaruit met een routekaart op zak naar drie locaties aan de Markt waar muzikanten hen opwachten met een half uur live blues. Daarna wandelen ze verder naar de volgende locatie. ..........
