Before officially dropping today, "As Above, So Below" already made its mark with an exclusive radio premiere on Wednesday via Finlandâs leading rock station, Radio Rock. The song, written by band mastermind Tuomas Saukkonen, is inspired by the Hermetic principles and the duality of all things within us, embodying the essence of Finnish melodic death metal at its most dynamic and evocative.
"Things just kept getting better and better after the release of the comeback album 'Stormbringers', and the chemistry in the band is at an all-time high," says Saukkonen. After a triumphant return in 2023 following an eleven-year hiatus, BEFORE THE DAWN wasted no time and channeled the momentum from their first European tour in over a decade and a stellar festival season straight into the studio. Recorded once again at guitarist Juho Räihäâs studio, the single captures the raw energy and dark melodic beauty that fans have come to love and expect.The band states:
