I wrote this song some days after receiving this wonderful Baritone Guitar from Bacci. If you are wondering why it's called "Paul Position," it's because I was inspired by one of my favourite players, Mr. Paul Gilbert! You may recognize some of his signature licks in the solo section.
Canadian blues, soul, and rock guitarist and singer-songwriter Marcus Trummer is pleased to announce his new upbeat, groove-driven single “Let You Down” released by Gypsy Soul Records on Friday, July 26th.

“Let You Down” is the first single taken from Trummer’s debut album to be released in November.

De Amerikaanse gitarist Jerry Miller is op 81-jarige leeftijd overleden. De oprichter van de rockgroep Moby Grape is in Nederland niet zo bekend, maar hoort tot de grootste gitaristen uit de muziek
Muziekblad Rolling Stone zette Jerry Miller op plaats 68 in de top 100 van beste gitaristen aller tijden, net twee plekken boven Eddie van Halen, de Nederlandse rockgitarist die in 2020 overleed. Jerry Miller overleed zaterdag vrij onverwachts, bevestigde zijn kleinzoon Cody aan het muziekblad. De doodsoorzaak is niet bekendgemaakt.
Mick Fleetwood en Jake Shimabukuro werken samen voor bluesalbum
De beroemde ukelele-virtuoos Jake Shimabukuro heeft de handen ineengeslagen met drumlegende en mede-oprichter van Fleetwood Mac Mick Fleetwood om de release aan te kondigen van hun aanstaande album, Blues Experience, dat op 18 oktober uitkomt via Forty Below Records.
De eerste single "Rollin' N Tumblin'" In dit baanbrekende project blazen Shimabukuro en Fleetwood klassieke bluesdeuntjes nieuw leven in, wat resulteert in een opwindende en unieke herinterpretatie van enkele van de grootste hits van het genre. Het album bevat ook een nieuw nummer geschreven door Jake, "Kula Blues", dat gaat over het gebied van Maui waar Mick woont.
OzzyMusical compatriots Alex Williams and Cody Jinks may be primarily known for playing Country Music, but they wear their Heavy Metal fandom on their leather sleeves. It shouldn’t be too much of a surprise to their fans that the pair decided to collaborate on a cover of an Ozzy Osbourne classic. "I’ve always been a fan of all the Black Sabbath records, especially Ozzy’s solo stuff.”

Creeping Jean release new official video for super-catchy latest single “Always At My Door” from forthcoming new album “Business Is Dead.”
Championed by BBC 6 Music’s Amy Lamé, recently given a rave 9/10 review in Classic Rock Magazine and chosen as main support for American rock’n’roll band Rival Sons across their sell-out European tour, young Brighton based band Creeping Jean are creating quite the stir.
Filmed on tour recently in Venice & at festivals in Europe, Always At My Door is the latest single to precede the release of their new album Business Is Dead, out next Friday August 2nd. Complete with sitar solo and 60’s style harmonies the track tells the story of an encounter the band had while recording the new album.
Zanger Duke Fakir, bekend van de Motown-groep de Four Tops, is op 88-jarige leeftijd overleden. Zijn familie laat aan Amerikaanse media weten dat hij thuis in Detroit is gestorven aan hartfalen. Fakir was het enige nog levende originele lid van de Four Tops.
De zanger, die eigenlijk Abdul Fakir heette, richtte de Four Tops in de jaren 50 op met Levi Stubbs, Renaldo ‘Obie’ Benson en Lawrence Payton. De Four Tops hadden grote hits met nummers als Reach Out (I’ll Be There), Baby I Need Your Loving en I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch).
Zangeres Evelyn Thomas is zondag op 70-jarige leeftijd overleden. Ian Levine bevestigde het nieuws van haar overlijden op sociale media. Hij was jarenlang de producer van de Amerikaanse artiest, die in de jaren tachtig een wereldhit had met het nummer High Energy.
Thomas en Levine werkten al sinds de jaren zeventig samen. In 1976 scoorde de zangeres een bescheiden hit in Engeland met Weak Spot. Daarna maakte ze nog wel platen, maar een doorbraak bleef uit. Dat veranderde in 1984 toen ze met High Energy een wereldhit scoorde. Het disconummer kwam in de Top 40 tot de derde plek. In Engeland, Spanje en (West)-Duitsland behaalde het nummer de eerste plaats.
Veel bekendere artiesten als Eric Clapton en Jack Bruce (Cream), Mick Fleetwood, John McVie en Peter Green (Fleetwood Mac) en Mick Taylor (Rolling Stones) speelden in de Bluesbreakers voordat ze met hun latere bands tot wereldsterren uitgroeiden.
