Een afgebeten vleermuizenhoofd, keiharde heavy metal en lange pikzwarte haren: Ozzy Osbourne werd niet voor niets 'The Prince of Darkness' genoemd. Maar wie het zijn vrouw en kinderen vraagt, hoort iets heel anders. De rocklegende was ook een ontzettende familieman.

Betaalde livestream van Ozzy's afscheidsconcert  Op zaterdag 5 juli vindt in de Engelse plaats Birmingham een afscheidsconcert plaats ter ere van zanger Ozzy Osbourne, die om gezondheidsredenen niet langer kan touren. De 'prince of darkness' treedt zelf op met de originele samenstelling van Black Sabbath en (kort) met zijn soloband. Verder kunnen de bezoekers zich opmaken voor Slayer, Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Tool, Pantera, Gojira, Lamb Of God, Alice In Chains, Mastodon, Halestorm, Anthrax en Rival Sons. Ozzy Osbourne-drummer Lee Kerslake (73) overleden

Lee Kerslake is zaterdag op 73-jarige overleden, meldt TMZ. De drummer, bekend van Uriah Heep en zijn samenwerking met Ozzy Osbourne, leed aan kanker.

Een van Kerslake's bandleden uit Uriah Heep bracht het nieuws zaterdag. "Met veel verdriet deel ik dat Lee Kerslake, al 55 jaar mijn vriend en de beste drummer met wie ik ooit speelde, zijn strijd tegen kanker vanochtend heeft verloren."

Kerslake leed al lang aan kanker. Hij stopte met Uriah Heep in 2018, vier jaar nadat hij de diagnose prostaatkanker had gekregen. Zijn laatste optreden was in Londen.
