Blij en verrast bij het vernemen van het nieuws dat the Deslondes weer op te proppen komen met een nieuw album. Na het geweldige gelijknamige album van Sam Doores, twee jaar geleden en afgelopen jaar het fraaie solo debuut Riley Downing met “Start it Over”, dachten we echt dat het gedaan was met The Deslondes. Het was al 6 jaar geleden dat Deslondes met Hurry Home hun laatste muziekwerk hadden uitgebracht. Nu wonderbaarlijk zjn ze terug met “Ways & Means” dat wordt verwacht 8 juli en YES! Wederom geweldig!

Een prachtig gelegenheidsduo in De Amer

Op zondag 12 juni komt een prachtig gelegenheidsduo naar De Amer. Stephanie Struijk en Eva de Roovere: een muzikale krachtenbundeling van twee moderne troubadours. Ze nemen je onder de titel ‘Overal kom ik thuis’ mee op een avontuurlijke reis.

When it came to this record, the key words were ‘ACKNOWLEDGE’ and ‘HONOR,’” South Florida-based contemporary blues/soul singer Kat Riggins proclaims about her new CD, Progeny, releasing June 24th on Gulf Coast Records.  “I have always tried to share music in a very transparent and vulnerable way and I’ve learned that I do this most successfully when I connect that little girl that I used to be to the woman that I’m becoming. I mean, when I remember things like how my Mama spoke her heart or how my Daddy’s voice made me feel when he sang Sam Cooke, it empowers me to be wide open and still feel safe. THAT sentiment is what I needed to acknowledge and honor with this project!”
