"Met veel verdriet maken we bekend dat onze vriend, mede-oprichter en legende Brian David Travers is overleden", schrijven de bandleden. "Hij overleed gisteravond in het bijzijn van zijn familie na een lange strijd.".....

Bunny Wailer, de laatste medeoprichter van de legendarische Jamaicaanse reggaeband Bob Marley & The Wailers die nog in leven was, is overleden. De 73-jarige liedjesschrijver, zanger en percussionist had drie Grammy Awards op zijn naam staan.

De artiest is vandaag overleden in een ziekenhuis in de Jamaicaanse hoofdstad Kingston, maakte zijn manager bekend. De doodsoorzaak is nog onduidelijk. Volgens lokale media kampte hij met gezondheidsproblemen nadat hij vorig jaar was opgenomen na een beroerte.
