DORO LAST DAY OF THE TOUR 24.11.19 - LUXOR ARNHEM (NL)  De Duitse zangeres Doro  is al meer dan dertig jaar actief in de heavy-metal. In de hoogtijdagen van dit genre was zij onderdeel van de band Warlock en één van de weinige vrouwen in een door mannen gedomineerde muziekscene.

Ook de oudste muziekband van Nederland was van de partij in Hoogeveen: de Bintangs! Onder leiding van oer-Bintang en oprichter Frank Kraaijeveld keren de mannen terug naar de basis: de rhythm & blues. Ze spelen nummers uit hun rijke verleden, aangevuld met nieuw werk. “Bintangs zoals de Bintangs moeten klinken!” aldus Frank.

 With home brew instruments and a dancing attitude we try to stretch the borders of the blues! And yes we are under the influence of Jack White, R.L. Burnside and Son House.
We like to use cigar box guitars (Bo Hudson) joined by blues harp (Harp Attack Pete) and a dictating but danceable rhythm (Big Kick Rik). So don’t expect those academic guitar solo’s because we just don’t care about that.

Elke 1e dinsdag van de maand is het Bluesworld Café en is er een live band. Het programma wordt live uitgezonden vanuit de kleine zaal van Hedon. Om 20.00 starten we met een kort interview en aansluitend is er een toffe liveband. Publiek is van harte welkom. Entree is gratis. Deze maand speelt Ramlin' Dog!
