During the 1930s and 40s pianists Pete Johnson and Albert Ammons would dress in identical clothing and play boogie woogie duets. In this video, circa 1988, Dr John and Jools Holland have recreated that long lost boogie woogie duet. Two pianos, twice the fun!!

In Memoriam: Dr. John op 77-jarige leeftijd overleden

De Amerikaanse muzikant Dr. John is donderdag op 77-jarige leeftijd overleden aan een hartaanval. Dat meldt zijn familie op Twitter.
De in New Orleans geboren Malcom John Rebennac was een pianist, zanger en songwriter. Hij gebruikte in zijn optredens voodoo-rituelen en droeg extravagante kostuums.
