DAVID RODRIGUEZ & THE RHYTHM CHIEFS – Rise And Shine (CRS)

Op 18 oktober a.s. verschijnt het album “Rise And Shine” van David Rodriguez & The Rhythm Chiefs. David Rodriguez was (in de woorden van een Volkskrant schrijver) “een muzikale geweldenaar” en wordt vaak in een adem genoemd met artiesten als Townes van Zandt, Guy Clark en John Prine. The Rhythm Chiefs deden als tieners al monden openvallen toen hun debuutalbum (tevens het enige bandalbum) in 2008 verscheen. Tijdens hun zegetocht gingen de tieners o.a. langs de grote genrefestivals, nationale radio en televisie om daarna o.a. jarenlang de begeleiders van Ian Siegal te zijn. Rodriguez en de “Chiefs” waren bevriend en namen kort voor het overlijden van de Texaan het indrukwekkende “Rise And Shine” op. Voorproefje:

Het jaar vordert alweer gestaag en muzikaal gezien is 2024 weer een fraai jaar voor Broere Promotion. We mochten o.a. werken aan nieuwe releases van Robert Jon & The Wreck, Sjako!, Bywater Call, The Hello Darlins, Jim Keller, The Cinelli Brothers, Chris Bergson Band e.v.a. Het album “Comforts Of Home” van laatstgenoemde band verscheen recentelijk en verzamelt nog steeds positieve kritieken, waaronder uitgelichte recensies in diverse muziektijdschriften.
