PIPER & THE HARD TIMES - Best Band at the Blues Foundation’

Competing with over 200 acts from around the world, Nashville-based PIPER & THE HARD TIMES 

took top honors when they won Best Band at the Blues Foundation’s annual "International Blues Challenge" held in Memphis from January 16 - 20, 2024.

Made the difficult but wise decision to postpone the IBC in Memphis until a later date (tbd) Of course we are disappointed, but happy to be safe. With this added financial uncertainty, we appreciate your continued support. We had hoped with entering the Memphis Challenge that through performances, networking and meeting industry people, would help take us to the next level. Without that, we are in a holding pattern until the pandemic slows down. Not everything is postponed though. With your continued support, we can write, and work towards a new recording, create videos and plan live stream performances- Now that's making lemonade from lemons. In a sense we are still on the Road To Memphis.

UK Blues Awards 17.May 2021

De UKBlues Federation heeft de UKBlues Awards in 2017 in het leven geroepen en de inaugurele Awards in 2018 werden alom goed ontvangen.

 De Awards zelf werden uitgereikt tijdens een uitverkochte viering op Worthing Pier in april 2018, MCd door Ian Siegal.

Helaas vonden de voor 2019 geplande awards niet plaats, maar de UKBlues Federation heeft hard gewerkt om ervoor te zorgen dat de UKBlues Awards in 2020 terugkwamen

De resultaten zouden worden bekendgemaakt en de Awards worden uitgereikt tijdens onze Awards Celebration op zondag 17 mei 2020 in de iconische Dingwalls in Londen. Op advies van de regering en vanwege lockdown-beperkingen moesten de awards online gaan.

Bluesdag 2019

Op zondag 6 oktober vindt in Hotel de Rustende Jager in Nieuw-Vennep de Bluesdag 2019 plaats, georganiseerd door de Dutch Blues Foundation. De Bluesdag, gepresenteerd door Rob van Elst, is een samenvoeging van de twee evenementen, Dutch Blues Awards en Dutch Blues Challenge.
