Blackberry Smoke onthult een nieuw nummer, “Azalea” van het aankomende album
De band heeft weer een nieuwe single uitgebracht van hun aankomende album Be Right Here , dat binnenkort op 16 februari overal uitkomt. ‘Azalea’ is zojuist uitgekomen. Het is op zichzelf geen vrolijk liedje, maar het roept ook hoop op. Het komt voort uit onze ervaringen als vaders. Houd je kinderen zo stevig vast als dat kan zonder ze te verstikken. Thuis zal er altijd zijn.'
Geschreven door zanger Charlie Starr en Travis Meadows, waar hij al jarenlang mee samenwerkt, zegt Starr dat het weliswaar niet per se een overdreven vrolijk nummer is, maar dat het wel de eerlijke waarheid vertelt over hun worstelingen als vaders en wat ze hopen voor hun kinderen:

Atlanta's rockers Blackberry Smoke maken zich op voor een terugkeer naar Europa in 2024, met hun nieuwste album 'Be Right Here' dat gepland staat voor release op 16 februari. Blackberry Smoke maakt stops in AB in België en in 013 in Nederland. De band, opgericht in 2000 in Atlanta, Georgia, heeft bekendheid gegenereerd door op te treden als openingsact voor bands zoals Lynyrd Skynyrd en ZZ Top.

‘You Hear Georgia’ markeert het 20-jarig bestaan van Southern rockers Blackberry Smoke. Het is de snelle opvolger van het geweldige live-album ‘Homecoming (Live In Atlanta)’ uit 2019.
Opnieuw kunnen zanger Charlie Starr en zijn kameraden een prima album op hun cv zetten, in slechts tien dagen opgenomen in de RCA Studio in Nashville.
De titel van de plaat refereert aan het feit dat er nogal wat vooroordelen bestaan als je uit het zuiden van de Verenigde Staten afkomstig bent.
