Modern Day Vagabond, the new album from acclaimed Texas singer-songwriter Dallas Burrow, arriving September 25 via Forty Below Records.
Following the acclaimed The Way The West Was Won, Burrow returns with his most personal collection yet, trading frontier mythology for songs drawn from his own life. The album follows widespread praise for its predecessor, with MOJO calling Burrow “a young musician with an old soul” in a four-star review, Saving Country Music naming him “one of the more respected performers in Central Texas,” Country Music People hailing the album as a “fabulous collection of cowboy songs,” and Americana UK describing it as “a near-perfect Texas story that echoes the Old West but lands squarely in the twenty-first century.”
Where his last album explored the mythology of the American West, Modern Day Vagabond turns inward. Produced by Grammy winner Adam Odor (The Chicks, Silverada) and Mike McClure (The Great Divide, Turnpike Troubadours), the album features an extraordinary cast of collaborators including Lloyd Maines, Katie Shore (Asleep at the Wheel), Kullen Fox (Charley Crockett), Colin Brooks, Mark Tokach, and guest appearances from Kelly Willis, Susan Gibson, Kelley Mickwee, Will Sexton, Mike McClure, and Burrow's father, Mike Burrow. The lead single, "Underdog," has already earned an add at SiriusXM's Outlaw Country.
