The Glass Hours bestaat uit de Amerikaanse singer-songwriters Megan Barbera en Brad Armstrong . Het indie countryduo, oorspronkelijk afkomstig uit Colorado en Alabama, ontmoette elkaar in de zomer van 2022 in de Hudson Valley in New York en heeft tot nu toe twee albums uitgebracht op Cornelius Chapel Records . De intense chemie tussen hen tijdens hun liveoptredens heeft publiek en critici in de VS en Europa betoverd en vergelijkingen opgeleverd met Gram Parsons, Emmylou Harris en Gillian Welch/David Rawlings.

Hun nieuwste album, Chapel Glass , werd in vijf dagen live opgenomen in Dial Back Sound in Water Valley, Mississippi. Het werd mede geproduceerd, opgenomen en gemixt door Clay Jones (Al Green, Modest Mouse) en bevat bijdragen van Matt Patton (Drive-By Truckers) op bas en Jason Lucia op drums. Chapel Glass werd begin 2026 in de VS uitgebracht op Cornelius Chapel Records en verschijnt in juni 2026 in het Verenigd Koninkrijk en Europa.

Het album werd opgenomen met Megan en Brad tegenover elkaar op stoelen, waarbij ze het album van begin tot eind speelden, terwijl de ritmesectie live in een andere ruimte meespeelde.   Deze manier van opnemen gaf de opnames een authenticiteit die ze boven de mogelijkheden van een professionele opnametechniek uittilde en benadrukte wat er echt toe deed: Megan en Brad die samen en door elkaar zongen. De imperfecties in de uitvoering lijken te wijzen op de overduidelijke waarheid van de tijd waarin we leven: dat muziek, en kunst in het algemeen, steeds minder tot een perfect object wordt gevormd en steeds meer in het moment wordt beleefd, vluchtig en fragiel.

 Since 2024, The Glass Hours have done four national US tours, toured in Ireland supporting the band Dug, and signed with LDM Bookings for a Netherlands tour.  They recently signed with BPA Live and will do their first UK tour in 2027. 

Their songs have been featured by Americana UK, The Bluegrass Situation and Americana Highways. The duo was also invited to play NYC’s Underwater Sunshine Festival, an annual music showcase curated by Adam Duritz, lead singer for Counting Crows.

 Prior to the Glass Hours, Megan and Brad have written, performed and recorded for various independent projects. Their past solo work has been recognized and reviewed by Pitchfork, San Francisco Bay Guardian, Paste, No Depression, Vice Magazine, International Songwriting Competition, John Lennon Songwriting Contest, among others. Megan’s songs have been licensed worldwide to brands such as Naturalizer Shoes and San Miguel Beverage Co. Brad was a member of Alabama’s Dexateens, 13ghosts and Maria Taylor’s touring band and has supported Jason Isbell, Alabama Shakes, Drive-By Truckers, John Moreland, Meat Puppets, Magnolia Electric Company and Azure Ray.
