The compilation ‘In Memory Of’ has now been released in memory of Paul Di'anno.
The album is a selection of the best songs that Paul recorded during his time at Metalville Records.
In addition, ‘In Memory Of’ contains two bonus tracks that have never been released in physical form before. ‘Je Suis Charlie’ is a track from Paul's “Architects Of Chaoz” phase, which was only released digitally at the time. ‘Killers’ is a live version from the Wacken Open Air 2015.
The previously unpublished photos contained in the booklet and the liner notes written exclusively for the album by internationally recognised Maiden biographer Matthias Mader are a special added value for fans.
Paul Di'Anno was also always a person who, despite his own health problems, was concerned about the well-being of others and took a corresponding interest in their fate.
To honour this in the spirit of the unforgotten artist, part of the proceeds from the sale of every CD and LP of ‘In Memory Of’ will go to the charitable organisation Metality e.V.

In Memoriam: Voormalig Iron Maiden-zanger Paul Di'Anno (66) overleden

Paul Di'Anno 'In Memory Of' verschijnt op 16 mei via Metalville Records.

Op 17 mei dit jaar had de frontman van de baanbrekende eerste twee albums van Iron Maiden zijn 67e verjaardag moeten vieren. Helaas ontvingen we in oktober vorig jaar het bittere nieuws dat de charismatische zanger onverwachts was overleden in zijn huis in Salisbury. Ter nagedachtenis aan Paul Di'anno is nu de compilatie 'In Memory Of' uitgebracht. Het album bevat een selectie van de beste nummers die Paul opnam tijdens zijn tijd bij Metalville Records. Daarnaast bevat 'In Memory Of' twee bonustracks die nog nooit eerder in fysieke vorm zijn uitgebracht. 'Je Suis Charlie' is een track uit Pauls 'Architects Of Chaoz'-fase, die destijds alleen digitaal werd uitgebracht. 'Killers' is een liveversie van het Wacken Open Air 2015. Voor fans vormen de in het boekje opgenomen, nog niet eerder gepubliceerde foto's en de liner notes, die de internationaal erkende Maiden-biograaf Matthias Mader exclusief voor het album schreef, een bijzondere meerwaarde. Paul Di'Anno was bovendien altijd iemand die, ondanks zijn eigen gezondheidsproblemen, bezorgd was om het welzijn van anderen en die zich eveneens interesseerde voor hun lot.
